A genuine passion for mojitos
If this is your first time here, you must know I’m an aged rum lover and a mojito lover. When I feel festive and want to celebrate, mojitos are always my cocktail of choice.

My first post on this blog, back in 2010, was a blueberry and lavender mojito. Then, I shared the superb strawberry-basil mojito, my beloved honeydew melon mojito, and the classic mojito recipe.
Here, you will also find a delicious ginger mojito, an all-time favorite: my passion fruit mojito and my delicious mango and basil mojito.
A toast to love with raspberry mojitos

Today’s mojito is not only delicious and refreshing. Its beautiful raspberry color truly celebrates love, life, and joy. So, it’s suitable for your Valentine’s or Galantine’s celebration. And it’s also perfect for Mother’s Day and a Fourth of July gathering when raspberries are at their peak.
Raspberry mojito with Ron de Venezuela

To make mojitos my first choice is always Ron de Venezuela. I know mojitos were born in Cuba. But I was born and raised in Venezuela. And there, we have a more than a two-century tradition of distilling and aging the best rums.
Because of that, our rums hold the Controlled Denomination Origin Ron de Venezuela seal.

I made today’s mojito with Diplomático Planas White Rum. But you can use the white rum of your preference.
How to make a raspberry mojito
Besides the rum, I made this mojito by muddling on a Boston shaker, fresh raspberries with monk fruit (zero-calorie sugar substitute,) and fresh spearmint leaves. Raspberries provide enough acidity, so there is no need for lime juice.
After shaking it with plenty of ice, I strain it over fresh ice. Then, I complete it with sparkling water. And finally, I garnish with a mini bamboo skewer with three fresh raspberries and a sprig of mint.
How to make an alcohol-free raspberry mojito
If you can’t or don’t want to consume alcohol or want to make this drink for your kids, all you have to do is omit the rum, and you’ll see what a treat!
