I mixed this Georgia Summer cocktail with Denizem Rum sent to me as a present by the brand.
This post is dedicated to my friend Merry.
We haven’t met personally, but nonetheless we have been close friends for the last three years. In 2012, when I had the hardest time of my life, Merry was there unconditionally, cheering me up and praying for us…
We talk almost every day. That’s how close we are.
And because now we both have many reasons to celebrate, I mixed this cocktail for her. It comes with a toast to true friendship and for all the good times to come.
It’s named after Georgia, where Merry lives and where the sweetest peaches reach their peak during the summer.
The people from Denizen Rum gave me the recipe: a sublime concoction made of rum, of course, and grilled peaches muddled with lime juice, brown sugar and fresh basil leaves.

Thanks to these grilled peaches I discovered the wonders of grilling fruit and how it enhances the flavor. So, another reason to celebrate!
I hope you like it! Cheers!
