Corazón {A coctel to fall in love}
Never before a cocktail had such a perfect name. Created in London by mixologist Rikki Duncan-Brodrick, Corazón (Heart) has everything a cocktail needs to succeed: a superb liquor, the sweetness of real maple syrup, the citrus of freshly squeezed lime juice and the crispy flavor of fresh raspberry.
Raspberry also brings the spectacular color that makes this concoction so vibrant, exciting and the perfect drink for Valentine’s day.
The mixologist suggests pouring it into a glass with crushed ice. However, I choose to pour it in a between a flute and a Martini glass, just because I love the shape, and also because it seem to me more romantic for the occasion.
Since we are big fans of Rhum Orange Liqueur and fresh berries, I decided to mix this cocktail.
To have the fresh raspberry ready to use, I muddled the berries and strained the resulting puree and discarded the seeds.
It’s amazing what half an ounce of raspberry can create!
Cheers to love and being in love!
