Why you will love this recipe

Firstly, this sparkling sangria is delicious. And it’s perfect for a Sunday brunch, an afternoon with friends, or a baby shower. Just look at the colors, ranging from pink to coral. Aren’t they beautiful?
This sangria is ideal for Valentine’s Day, Galantine’s Day, Easter (in fact, it was what I served at my lunch last Easter Sunday), Mother’s Day, and, of course, to cool you down during the hot summer days.

It’s made with Prosecco Rosé, strawberries (including pink strawberries in season), Triple Sec, plus lemon simple syrup for its bright citrus notes. It also has many ice cubes and sparkling water for an extra dose of bubbles. When you mix everything, the result is a delicious pitcher cocktail.
What is Prosecco Rosé?

Prosecco Rosé is a Controlled Designation of Origin established in 2021, which protects this Italian sparkling wine, made from Glera and Pinot Noir grapes that give it its characteristic pink color.
To be labeled Prosecco Rosé, this sparkling wine must not only be produced and bottled in Italy but must meet quality standards and be fermented for at least 60 days in stainless steel tanks. This is what differentiates Prosecco Rosé from other sparkling rosé wines.
Sparkling Rosé Sangria Ingredients

To make this pink sangria or sangria rosé, you will need:
- Prosecco Rosé
- Triple Sec
- Fresh strawberries
- Lemons
- Sugar
- Sparkling water
How do I make Sparkling Rosé Sangria?

Making this delicious cocktail is as easy as following the following steps:
- Make the lemon syrup. Mix equal parts of freshly squeezed lemon juice with sugar and cook in a small pot over low heat until the sugar completely dissolves. I recommend making this syrup at least half an hour before making the sangria.
- Cut the strawberries. Rinse and dry the strawberries, remove the stems, and finely slice them with a paring knife.
- Mix and serve the sangria. Put the chopped strawberries in a large pitcher, add lemon syrup and Triple Sec, and stir. Add plenty of ice and prosecco and stir. Serve over fresh ice, in wine glasses, with sparkling water, and decorate with a sprig of fresh mint.
Tips to make the Perfect Pink Sangria

- All ingredients should be cold from the refrigerator, including fresh fruit, syrup, prosecco, and sparkling water.
- Do not macerate the strawberries. They are delicate fruits, and macerating them will only cause them to lose their texture and become mushy.
- Prepare your sangria immediately before serving so you can enjoy the bubbles. Mix with ice and serve over plenty of fresh ice. Better if the ice is in cubes and not fractured or slushed.
Substitutions & Variations

- You can replace Prosecco Rosé with another rosé sparkling wine or make your sangria with rose wine.
- You can use Grand Marnier instead of Triple Sec. As long as the orange liqueur is clear, it won’t affect the color of this cocktail recipe.
- You can replace the pink strawberries with green apples, but remove the skin so your sangria keeps its pink color.
- You can replace sparkling water with club soda.
