There are mojitos and this one.\u00a0I got the idea of adding a ginger mojito to my collection, from the mini brochure that came with a bottle of ginger liquor\u00a0Domaine de Canton<\/a><\/i>.

They suggested two ounces of ginger liqueur and half an ounce of rum, but I thought it would be better to pour a little bit more of\u00a0Ron de Venezuela<\/i>: after all, rum is what mojitos are about.<\/p>\n

Bingo. I love mojitos and I love ginger and here you get two for the price of one.<\/p>\n

\nGinger Mojito<\/b>
\n6 Mint leaves
\n3\/4 oz Simple syrup (one part water, one part granulated sugar)
\n1 oz Ron de Venezuela Santa Teresa Claro<\/a><\/i>
\n1.5 oz Domaine de Canton<\/i> (ginger liquor)
\n3\/4 oz Fresh lemon juice
\n1.5 oz Club soda<\/p>\n

In a shaker, muddle the mint with the simple syrup. Add the rum, ginger liquor and lemon juice, and fill with ice. Shake well and strain into a highball glass filled with crushed ice. Top off with club soda and garnish with a lemon wheel and a mint sprig.<\/p>\n
