More bizarre and darker than the four previous movies, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, is a fantastic film, with everything you expect from a good movie: a first-rate cast, some incredible special effects, action, drama, suspense, comedy, romance and an ending that will amaze you.

"PiratesI saw it last Monday in a private screening and following this I’m sharing seven reasons why Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is a must watch. It opens this coming Friday May 26 and I have no doubt it will be another Disney blockbuster.

 1. The first scene in which the ferocious captain Salazar “The Matador of the Seas”, masterfully played by Spanish actor Javier Bardem, appears from the dead, after 25 years condemned to live under the waters. Both the scene and Bardem’s performance, pay the ticket.

 2. Johnny Depp, who is better than ever in his role as Captain Jack Sparrow, a character that has something of Buster Keaton and Charles Chaplin, and therefore makes you laugh and wanting to take care of him at the same time.

 3. The script, impeccable, by Jeff Nathanson, the same screenwriter of Catch Me if You Can, The Terminal and Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of The Crystal Skull. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is a story told through out four cinematographic genres: action, suspense, romance and comedy, which will keep you stuck to the seat from start to finish.

 4. The scene of the St. Martin’s bank safe robbery. Although a little long, it’s so surreal that it seems to be taken from a novel by Gabriel García-Márquez, and it gives you an idea of how bad Captain Sparrow’s fortune is that in order to survive he has to rob a bank on land!

 5. Carina, the daughter of Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush), played by British actress Kaya Scodelario. In the middle of the eighteenth century she’s such a brilliant and smart young woman, that men think she’s a sorceress but she really is an astronomer and mathematician.

 6. Sir Paul McCartney, that living legend, playing buccaneer imprisoned in a dungeon in St. Martin: more than any fan of Sir Paul could have hoped for.

 7. Orlando Bloom, for the fifth time in the role of Will Turner, and who, like the good wines, improves with the passage of time.

More
