This Gorgonzola Spread with Crackers recipe was sponsored by Blue Diamond® Nut-Thins and all opinions expressed are my own. Thank you for reading and supporting the brands that make Savoir Faire possible.Have you ever asked why we love crunchy and crispy food so much? Well it seems that there is music in mastication: noisy, crunchy, crispy food like carrots, celery, apples, chips and crackers are usually associated with freshness.
What if I tell you that I just found the crunchiest and most flavorful cracker ever? Not too thin to crumble, crispier than a potato chip, sturdy enough to carry salsa or guacamole or any dip on a bite, they are crunchy enough to produce that satisfying break in your molars when you eat them.
They are flavorful enough to be eaten alone as a satisfying snack, yet neutral to be paired with the well-defined, pungent flavor of my Gorgonzola cream. I can imagine having them with my anchovy and cream cheese dip, or with my goat cheese and chives spread.
But that’s not all. The crackers I’m talking about are wheat and gluten-free and even if I’m not gluten-free, I like to say my life is better when I substantially reduce the amount of gluten on my diet.
These crackers are called Nut-Thins because they are made of nuts and rice by Blue Diamond®. I got mines at my local Walmart, but just in case you can here where to get them nation-wide. I tried the original almond ones, and my favorite: the pecan ones, and then when I went back to to the store I got the hint of sea salt ones…
And last but no least, Blue Diamond® Nut-Thins are giving away $3,000 in prizes!
