I received a free copy of Char-Broil Great Book of Grilling to write this review.Dedicated to those who love cooking outdoors, either in a charcoal or gas grill, Char-Broil Great Book of Grilling, is a collection of 300 tasty recipes for every meal, including appetizers, comfort food, summertime recipes, veggies, meats and desserts (yes, desserts!) by master grill experts at Char-Broil. All 300 recipes have their own picture of the final dish.
Divided into nine chapters, the first one is dedicated to cooking outside: the differences among grilling, barbecuing and smoking, caring of the grill, safety tips, and temperature and times guidelines. The second chapter is devoted to appetizers and snacks: from crowd-pleasing nachos and fired-wood pizza, to grilled and stuffed potato skins.
For the carnivores are chapter 3 and 4. Chapter 3 is all about beef, lamb and veal: a total of 55 recipes. Then, it comes chapter 4 with 48 pork recipes from Easter ham to drunken pork chops, for pork lovers.
Chapter 5 is for poultry lovers. There, you will find a total of 46 recipes: 14 of them featuring turkey, 1 featuring duck and the rest chicken in all shapes and flavors: lollypops, wings, breasts, legs and so on.
Following is chapter 6 with 36 seafood recipes, from shrimp, salmon, mahi-mahi, trout, to lobster and king crab.
My two favorite chapters are chapter 7, totally devoted to vegetables, sides and salads and chapter 8. including 43 delicious sweet treats from grilled fruit, Nutella quesadilla, brownies, smores to whoopie pies! The cherry on the cake is chapter 9, totally dedicated to marinades, sauces and rubs.
