Vanilla Syrup

Flavored syrups are a nice and easy way to sweeten and aromatize waffles, pancakes, desserts and cocktails.

This vanilla syrup, as many other flavored syrups, can be saved in a sterilized, air tight bottle for months in the refrigerator, and the older, the better.

Ingredients for 2 cups
1 cup of super fine sugar
2 cup of water
2 vanilla beans split in half

Bring all ingredients to boil on medium heat. Reduce heat and simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Let it cool and pour it in a sterilized bottle with the vanilla beans. Store it in the refrigerator.
